Do you apply a half-halt on the outside rein with the use of the inside rein when the inside leg is forward (at the trot)? What do you do at the canter? (Karrie)


Hi Karrie!

A half halt can be performed at nearly any time in the trot, as one hind leg is always coming up underneath the horse. It's in the canter that the timing is crucial.
