Lesley is a "graduate" of Jimmy Wofford's training program, and has competed to the Advanced 4 star level in 3 day Eventing on a horse she bought off the track as a 3 year old. She has also trained through the Prix St Georges level in Dressage, and was an Equine Vet Tech at the prestigious Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY. As you move up the levels, more cross country fences have some kind of “surprise” involved - often on the landing side, like with a coffin jump, sunken road, or terrain change. Other spooky jumps draw the horse's eye down before takeoff. The KEY is to fully prepare on the approach. Learn how here!

The Diamond Exercise is a great way to educate on the lateral aids and how to apply them to forward movement. Once established, the horse responds to bending aids properly, allowing the rider to ride up into the outside rein to successfully improve connection, balance, and carriage. Learn how here!
