Be careful with jaw flexions. If not ridden *forward* over the back into the flexion, they create a false frame with no real connection. You might *think* he is correctly connected because he feels soft in your hand when his jaw is flexed. But true lightness is not in the looseness of the contact, it is in the way the horse moves over the ground.
